The Monroe County Conservation District and the Penn State Cooperative Extension are hosting the 2012 Farm Tour which will connect consumers with local producers. Participants will have the opportunity to visit local farms to learn about their available products and farm management. Each $50 ticket includes a tour of both farms on Saturday, July 21st. The tour will start at Calkins Creamery at 8 am and wrap up around 1 pm at Fox Hill Farm following a catered lunch.

Visit a local working farm with an operational sugarbush producing 350 gallons of syrup a year with a wood fired evaporator. Learn about the sugaring operation, the farm, and the protection of the land. Light refreshments available. Participants are asked to be prepared for walking through muddy conditions.
